Okay, for some reason, all my worlds are not showin gup in the main menu anymore. Also all the settings are reset. Looks like the game did a factory reset or something
Sadly I forgot to make a backup from my new world, and most worlds do have a backup but really old (from 0.8.5) This happend after I started the game offline, steam did a warning that it can't verify the cloud, but that has never been a problem, I played rw a lot offline. Is there anyway to restore my worlds? ![]()
Lost all my world after playing RW offline

That's a Steam issue sadly, happened to a friend of mine as well, not with Rising World. Don't ever play anyway if there is issues with the Steam Cloud sync, it will most likely erase your data.

So the world files are completely erased?
That's kinda sad, luckly my recent world was pretty new, so I did not lost a lot

As I recall there should be a backup file somewhere in the game files, so you should still be able to recover them, but just for future reference, if Steam fails to sync don't do "play anyway"
-
Ok yes there is a folder called Backups in your game files, you should be able to recover them from there, I assume moving the World folder from Backup to World inside the game files folder
-
I'm sorry to hear about that
As mentioned by FoxTheHyena , this might be caused by Steam Cloud (it would be the first time something like this happens, especially when playing offline)... you can try to access your Steam Cloud storage and see if there are any old worlds there, but I'm afraid they're lost...But the game indeed stores backups in the "Backup" folder in the game directory (unfortunately it only does it automatically when performing an update). Maybe you can still find some worlds there?

I am lucky, the worlds recoverd when I did g online again, but another huge bug appeard and now the worlds is blue. Just blue. hen I open the pause menu I can see the world again, but when I play normally its just insane dense blue fog.

That's why i don't use the Steam Cloud. To insecure. I keep my files on my own harddisk and can place a copy somewhere else. And that will be the case until i figure out how to use Steam Cloud in a safe way.

Very much understandable, still to avoid problems don't launch games if Steam Cloud has sync issues. Let it try to resync until it does, or you will lose your data 90% for sure
