    You have to understand that there are many servers that have been running for many months, now, and introducing biomes requires significant work to make sure that all is integrated seamlessly. If there are delays, it is not because biomes are not ready per se, but it is to guarantee the maximum visual quality throughout all worlds and world parts.


    The wait is worth it :)

  • ive searched for a few hours, and ive found one potato plant. but i havent found any of the other plants. are they like super duper rare ?

  • Unfortunately the plants are difficult to find in the dense grass... We will do some changes in the near future, like remove the grass around plants for example.



    @no_bro: Hmm it's a memory issue, unfortunatly the 32 bit version can't allocate much memory, especially due to the higher resolution textures and models you run into trouble now (if the game ran fine before the update). You can eventually try to allocate more memory manually, rightclick on rw in steam -> properties -> launch options and type "+memory 2048 768". If that does not work, try to reduce the view distance and especially the detail distance.
    We will also add an option to use lower quality textures (i.e. less memory consumption) soon ;)

  • How do you harvest plants so you can re-plant them. I used to use the sickle to do
    this, now it doesn't work.


    I have found Potatoes and Carrots and apples.

  • Unfortunately it requires several hits with the sickle to harvest the plant. That's unintended behavior and will be changed with the next hotfix ;)
    Alternatively you can enable creativemode by typing "setgametype 1" into console, then a single hit with the sickle is sufficient.

  • We are not going to get biomes anytime soon until the developer concentrates on biomes and biomes only. Creating more crops, additional blocks and other non biome things took away time from finishing up what needs to be done first. That is the biomes. The world needs to be finished FIRST Every thing that happens, takes place in this world.


    What needs to be done now includes biomes, water and weather. If they aren't completed, everyone will have to start over because not everyone wants to build in a forest. What goes in the world after the biomes can be worked on next. Unless there is more then 1 person working on this, things need to be done in order or nothing will ever get finished.


    I am not trying to be critical but that is just the way it is . I learned long ago back in my Amiga days a very similar lesson by trying to do everything at once. It cost me 6 months of work and I do not want to see that happen here. This game has potential. I expect an even longer delay now because of all the bugs I have seen in the steam forums.


    Red I know you are doing all you can, but step back and take a look at what is happening. I think Rising world will turn out to be a great game.
