Changelog 2015-09-28: Major improvements!

  • Hi folks,

    A big update is available! This update greatly improves the visuals, especially since all trees and plants have been reworked, and most textures have been replaced. In addition, we did some major improvements to all existing sounds, and also added ingame music! Those changes create an even denser atmosphere, and increase the immersion factor.

    This update also provides more possibilities when it comes to farming: You can cultivate more plants now, among others potaoes, salad or broccoli - time for a healthy diet ;)

    Another important change, you no longer have to search apples in dense grass after cutting down a tree: Just pick some from an appletree now. Or what about a tasty lemon, from a lemontree?

    Even though this update brings so many changes, one important aspect is missing, contrary to expectations: Biomes. They still need more work, and since we want to provide you some great looking results, it's necessary to put more time in it. We hope you understand that. It shouldn't take too long until they're finally available!

    • [New] Added warning when your inventory is full while digging
    • [New] New Lua functions: "player:setCreativeModeEnabled(set)" to enable creative mode, "player:slap(damage)" to hurt a player and "player:playSound(soundname, position)" to play a sound for a player
    • [Change] Moved to FMOD soundengine, OpenAL is non longer used

  • On Standalone I get this message:

    If I close and restart it says some are corrupted and do I want to check, if I say YES then it checksums but I still end up with missing files message

    I restarted several times

  • Perfect improvement to the trees & grass. I love these version than the one before it. Much brighter & lush; Lots of moisture is being implied in the grass. More welcoming & happier.

    Nice new selection for trees & food types. I'm amused that broccoli found its way in because I had to tend to that a few times with it being both icy & messy. Silly thing XD.

    Also, can't wait to hear what this music sounds like and such, both in person in my own copy & in people's let's plays. Now can't wait for the biome. This was a wise idea to release this update.

  • Issues with the update.

    Trees were planted all over the brick road I took weeks to build , It is going to take a while to remove them all
    I had to delete the game and all the files and reinstall it to get the new version to run. Game is lagging in spots. I'm going to have to rework all of my settings again.

    Of course until Biomes come out I can no longer expand anything in my world.

  • @no_bro: A fix for your issue should be available. Eventually you have to restart Steam so it recognizes the update ^^ In case you get still the same error: Please let us know

    @MirMir: As no_bro mentioned, the animals were explicitly for the new biomes. Once the biomes are implemented, the animals will be added ;) Unfortunately I can't give an ETA for the biomes.

  • Has anyone found any of the new crops: Strawberry, potato, lettuce, broccoli. I found most of the new trees but not the crops (newly generated world). Small issue, English spelling for Rowan is "a" not "e", they are apparently too small for logs but will these have sprouts enabling us to plant them?
