wood blocks snapping

This game is frustrating since you cant rotate blocks you have to use wood that looks like blocks. Only thing is wood likes to snap in place. Sometimes this is great once you have established a curve you can quickly duplicate and quickly fill in the the gaps with the cursor. But and this is big if you log off everything you had set up is lost and you can never go back and seem to get things to snap to angled wood anymore and line up.

What am I doing wrong? I hope it is operator error because it is one big PAIN right now.

Hmm snapping should only occur if you have pressed the modular placement tool, i.e. the Enter (Return) key by default. If they are snapping and you want them to stop just press that key and they should stop

The woodparts snap with "Enter" and behave normally by pressing Enter again.
Unfortunately you cannot see if Enter is locked or not.

Try to work with the grid, so that a more accurate build is possible. Its easier to start after relogging again.
If this don't work you have to use another grid measure. You have to use the same grid as you logged off.

Hmmm well it is not straight forward.. tonight I built a column with flat beams on top on one side of my amphitheater and when I went to the other side the same beam would not go horzontal always wanting to go inside the round beam in a vertical manner. I gave up and took it all down.

it only ever snaps one way that part never changes the only thing that can be changed is turning it on or off
but i know that it would be nice to have the snap lock work vertical and horizontal

I've just noticed that the wooden beams do not behave normally.
Whether with or without Enter the parts try to snatch. That was not so before.
I think this could be fixed.

I have criticized that in in the German forum, too.
