    This settings (color, brightness and contrast) are my preference, I do not expect you to like it (probably you will consider it too dark).
    I am sharing to the community to understand what ReShade is: A program that allows the application of over 60 different filters, among them Depth of Field, Ambient Occlusion, movie effects, 3D SBS, color tuning, masks, HDR, Motion Blur, etc.


    There are resource-consuming effects, making it unfeasible for older computers, but some effects are very light and offer subtle alternatives to game appearance.
    Until recently Rising World was not compatible with ReShade, but Red51 made it possible to use this tool loved by hardcore gamers.

  • Wow! This is how i hoped RW would eventually look like. Now that 3rd party shaders are possible, a world of possibilities has risen (pun intended).
    The game however seems to crash on me less than a minute after launch. ReShader does seem to detect the launch however. I have all the effects turned on yet I'm getting 60fps (something I haven't gotten in a long time. So I guess ReShader is doing the postrendering, instead of Rising World. Very cool. Any suggestions however?

    Is it possible to switch re-shade off, if you don't want to use it?


    Which video programs do you use?


    I use HD textures in Rising World, looks very good, slightly different from normal textures, but better for me. :)
    But HD textures need more performance.
    It makes white parts more smooth, for the other textures I assume it's the same, but I'm using the HD textures for too long and don't really know,
    medieval houses also look good with HD structures. Here's an example.

  • Yes, you turn on and off in real time, just choose a key.
    All the fine tuning effects are real-time, for example, you can strengthen or reduce the "ambient light" effect, you can create several presets for the same game, so you can customize biomes (it's difficult to create extreme presets that get good at all the environments, a preset to emphasize the clarity in the sky can make an snow biome overly bright).

    Which settings do you use? DirektX9, DirektX10 or openGL? :)

    Usually ReShade detects this for you (in Rising World not detected, sometimes it happens).
    You will always have to find out if the game is OpenGL, or DX. ReShade does not support Vulkan.


    Rising World is OpenGL, so you run ReShade, choose the Rising World executable( Steam\steamapps\common\RisingWorld), and choose OpenGL. Reshade will confirm and in the end will ask which shaders you want to add.
