I spoke to admins from other servers and they had been deleting npcs from their server every few days........ with 11 people on my server I had over 9000 npcs in just 2 days........ after the last update this now appears to have been fixed..... but today I also restricted number of npcs in the config just in case 100 people do log onto my server all at the same time lol

Red needs to look at that... despite the server configuration set for them dropping their weapons, the weapons disappear.
Happening my server too... I go to Single Play and they drop weapons....go to server...no weapons....

If I'm not mistaken when an NPC isn't in render distance they are in a "Sleep" state. so the high NPC count is really hurting as they are sleeping. tho we would need red51 to let us know about that for sure. but if this is the case, sleeping NPC"s don't have an effect on performance as their info is not updated until they are awoken. if this is not the case then yes the NPC thread would be heavy trying to move 10k NPC's smoothly at once.
All I know is that the server was saying there was 9992 NPCS on the server.... when someone logged into a new area of the server that number probably went up. 2 days ago it was 8000 npcs,........ today 9992....... hopefully fixed with the update Red has put out.

I think this may be resolved.
If the issue does not come back in the next week, I'll post what caused the issue.
Please have a look at your log files and see how many npcs you have on the server......
In 3 days after rebuilding the server I managed to get 9992 npcs running around the server.
Other server owners are apparently deleting npcs from the server every few days.

Re my server disconnecting multiple times a day.........
Yesterday the server was saying this
[DB] Saved 8800 npcs in database (26 ms)
After which I the server threw us of with this error

I was talking to the ops of another multiplayer server and they said they have to delete the npcs ont their servers every 2 or 3 days as they numbers of npcs build up. They told me where to look for the number of npcs on my RunAndHide GamerServer
Today it said I had 9992 npcs in the database.
Yesterday according to the logs it was 9090 and the day before it was 8800
So unless the npcs are deleted from the world they will build up.
Not sure if this has any6thing to do with it but in the server.properties file is says when monsters bandits are killed in an area that after 30 seconds they respawn........
I have changed the setting on my server to be 30 minutes not 30 seconds.
I believe these are the lines in the server.properties file that need to be looked at. If I read that correct cooldown is 30 seconds.
# Determines the cooldown until the game tries to respawn enemy npcs (monsters, bandits) in a chunk. Default: 30 (seconds)
Settings_NpcEnemyRespawnCooldown=30

This works on single play and bandits will drop their swords.... but for some reason this is not working on the servers. Red will need to look at it.
I assume bandits and skeletons are treated the same here.

Is there a file somewhere which has the coordinate's for my protected areas...... I have 5 areas somewhere on the map that I tried deleting "all" using the interface but they are still showing as protected areas.

You can ignore this... was able to get the coordinates in the database.db file

The k_EAuthSessionResponseAuthTicketCanceled indicates that the client terminated the connection while still connecting to the server. It could also occur if there is an issue with the Steam connection, but usually it's when the client terminates the connection.
Unfortunately that log part you've posted is a bit difficult to read because it doesn't contain line breaks... do you mind sending me the full server log file (you don't have to post it here, feel free to send it via PM to me)
Also, if you lose connection to the server (or if any issues occur), maybe you could also send me a clientside report. To do that, just open the console when the happened and type "report" (maybe add some additional information about what happened)

That's not the Problem? The definitions.db is not yet magnetized Syncroni or?I had mentioned the file defintions.db because I had modified the file for the server...... I run the same modified file in single play and do not get thrown out of the game.

Sounds like what is happening with my server........ been happening for several days now.
I may be the only one on the server, then someone else joins and within 10 minutes we get a disconnect and cannot get back on until I restart the server.
Despite everyone being kicked off, multiplayer states 1 person is still on.........

I have a multiplayer server where we have around 11 people going on the server at different times of the day......
For the last several days the server has lost connection when other people arrive on the server.....
For example I was on the server for a couple of hours without any connection loss... Then someone arrived and withing 10 minutes we lost the server and I had to reboot it so we could get back on.
Ping Perfect have looked at it and cant work out why this is happening.
I looked at the log file and saw this ...not sure if this is what is causing the problem.

that number 765...... is my admin number. Is there an issue there?
I do have a modified definitions.db which modified the way the biomes look and this file has no problem when I play single player.
Do people going to my server read the definitions.db file on the server or on their computer?

If you use pingperfect this is what they say to save your inventory.........
You can enable it by going to File Manager>Permissions.Example and edit the default.json file. The keepinventory option under the general section has to be set to true. It is set to true already. If you have done that, please make sure to restart the server for changes to take place.

Translation for Rising World continues with the translation for Czech being about 80% done updated to the new version of the game......... This will hopefully be finished in a few days.
After this I will be working on updating French, Portuguese and Spanish and bringing them up to date with the new version.

The update was released yesterday adding around 547 new lines to the language file in English and German.
I am currently looking at the best way to add in the new un-translated lines that were added in to Rising World some 36 hours ago.
I would recommend not using any of the translation files I have released until they are updated from Version 1 to Version 2 with the new version including all the changes that have come in with yesterdays update.
As you can see in the picture the character selection screen has translation issues as well because that screen did not exist on our computers until 36 hours ago and therefore could not be translated.
Keep in mind until 3months ago Rising World was only in English or German.

I think Red was talking about that on the Steam forums so he is aware of the issue.

With the update released yesterday, additional translations are going to need to be added to what I have previously done.... will be looking at the best way for me to merge what I have done with the new additions brought in by the new update.
Example, in the picture below, the 2 lines highlighted in red are just some of the new lines that will be needed to be translated to the 17 languages already done.
If you look at the right side of the picture, all of the red in that vertical line are new text that I need to translate.
