Sounds artificial.... I hope that's not going to happen. Currency has other potential use cases

I think the best way for coins is that there would be a list what items/crops can be sold and only by doing that get coins. And the reason to do that would be that you can by ONLY items/crops that are NOT available at any way in the game. For me, that would give me a very good reason to produce something or make something I don't really need, so that I can sell it and buy stuff that can only be bought...
Maybe. But where do you get the seed for that in the first place? And once you bought it once, you can get it easily by the hundreds.
I see currency only once there are unique items in the game, recipes, very rare ores, devices, etc
-
With the current state of the game i see 0 reason to trade or buy/sell things.

Nice idea and it's probably planned, as wandering merchants will be a thing.
But right now it's hard to imagine what to do with those coins. There's not really something to trade, unfortunately

Yes I saw it later... Too bad because I'm building a big castle and was really excited what is it about servants

I guess they were capturing hostile npc and kiting them to the castle, where they "domesticate" them. With either a script or console command.
You can do the same with the above mentioned console command
-
not yet this command. we hope red introduce in next udate. now you can only reset whole sector, not just a single chunk.
you are right. strange. i could have sworn there is already a command Oo
-
I think it’s easier than that. I believe there is a console command to reset a chunk.
yes. open console with the tilde key ^
then: resetchunk
if you start typing, you will get suggestions and find the command easily.
but beware - it will delete everything in that chunk and reset it to default. -
They won't spawn in that chunk but may wander there from other, unmodified, chunks

I don´t think the Blocks in the Java version could hold back water. But then again, in Java you had 2 very different types of Blocks. One was a static one that you could not rotate, place or resize freely. And then there were planks and beams, which you could rotate, place and scale freely.
And in Java the water behaved different. Wasn´t it like Jelly? It´s too long ago i played Java

My guess is the next step after water barrels is turn on irrigation sprinklers or soaker hoses connected to water barrels. So when it is not raining can flow the stored water into your garden - that is where a distant limit is reasonable. Of course then you look at california which has world record 82mi canal!
That will most likely come when we have a plumbing system, as intended by red.
Though I doubt we can expect that soon.
Electricity and plumbing would lift rising world on a whole new level. But it's difficult to implement, I assume

A dog is the solution for those who want loyal companionship. Cats are the solution for those who want a roommate. 😂
Nah. A dog is a solution for those wo want a loyal companion AND roommate. Cats are the solution for those who want to serve

Thank you. But I dont know how to play with other people. It seems I know how to talk with dogs, but have no clue what to say to other people. So this social barrier makes me better loner, than online game mate. But please do post more screenshots. They are inspirational.
Dogs are the better people anyways

Thats the thing. I dont want part of the world to be updated. I want to have new stuff right at spawn.
Addition: But now that you mentioned it. Could you tell me console command to reset chunk please?if you open the console youc an start typing and it will suggest you possible commands.
i think it should be "reset chunk" or something like that. See for yourself please, im not entirely sure about the exact command phrase.
But beware! If there is anything you have built in the chunk, it will be gone. -
Blueprints and seeds are actually a blessing after updates, since you can transfer buildings to same place in same map seed after update and play with completely updated map.
no need for that, usually. i.e. poi will spawn in unchangd chunks. as long as you didn´t mine, chop tree, built something, etc. it will still be available in your current map. or you can use a console command to reset the chunk
-
then i recommend to maneuvr it in place manually, place it and do a new blueprint from that

Things that would be nice to have:
1. A way to paint/color stone that isn't material replacement, like painting objects
2. Better, more precise stonecutting tools for fine scultping and design, such as creating detailed cutouts and sculptures
1. You mean to paint terrain? Yes, that would be great.
Though you can just craft a block with terrain texture and paint it
2. With the building system nothing is impossible. You can build statues with blocks and shapes. Along with free placement and rotation. But it's a challenge.
I'm not good at building such, i prefer houses castles And furniture.
however in order to really chisel or carve out details the size of each voxel would need to be much smaller. Resulting in impossible hardware requirements. Yet. Unfortunately

a picture is worth a 1000 words they say
When you look at the attachment you will see the block is about quarter off with grid on. I can take grid off and move the block but it get tedious.Did you try already to use a smaller grid?
