Update 0.9: Points of Interest [EN]

A new update is now available, introducing "Points of interest" and many more changes!
Latest hotfix: 0.9 (2025-10-31)
  • Oh, lol, that's weird 8| Does that happen in singleplayer or multiplayer? So if I understand correctly, there is no correct riding animation, instead the player is just running when riding a horse?

It's singleplayer and yes, my character is standing on top of the horse and running/walking while the horse moves xD

Edit: I just tried to make a new world for the sake of testing and the animation is correct there...that's interesting

Edit 2: I spawned a new horse by console in the affected world, the animation is now correct

  • Unfortunately, not yet... I did exactly what you said, I even logged out and restarted the PC...
But now even the lands don't appear anymore.

This is definitely a bug, I will try to fix it with the next hotfix :)

bug: The Knight armor is bugged becasue nothing can damage you if you wear it, bears and bandits do not deal 1hp damage when wearing it....

Thanks for letting me know, it's definitely something I will change, probably with one of the next hotfixes :saint:

Another observation: Entering any coordinates/x,y,z positions in the "Editnpc", "Move npc" menu, relocates the npc immediately BEFORE applying the change.

Oh, that's actually intended ^^ This was meant was a preview of the new position (similar to hitting the move buttons in the menu)... but if you hit Cancel, the npc should go back to the original position.

Can you add a timer for fireworks?

Maybe this change makes it into one of the hotfixes, otherwise the next update will introduce that option (it will definitely be ready in time for New Year) :)

Hehe, I found the culprit: it seems that riding a stallion, i.e a male horse causes this bug  I will fix that ASAP!

  • Another hotfix is now available btw, fixing a few smaller issues ;) This update is optional for multiplayer server, but it's still recommended to install it.

Hey red, will you ever consider making transparent chests that show the objects in the chest? Also the items(visible from the outside) would have to be small...Ya know something else that would be cool when you dive into the electricity update would be to make a chest observer with a digital screen. The screen will show what is in the chest!

That is cool - but not being able to "pan around and looking" makes it a bit confusing. All good. Keep up the excellent work. Cheers!

I'm afraid this his might introduce a few issues... if there are lots of items in a chest, it might cause performance issues... but the biggest problem is probably to display the items properly in the chest ^^ Some items are quite big (e.g. the scythe), and scaling it down to fit the chest might look a bit weird. And unless there are only few items in the chest, it could be a visual mess :silenced:

That's a good point! But on the other hand, if there is no preview of the npc position, it might be difficult to make precise adjustments (especially via the arrow keys in the menu) :saint:

Perhaps an option in the UI to display only a few objects? I was hoping the object(s) could appear 3D. That would be cool!
