First bug report for 0.8

  • I started a new game in single player mode and started chopping down some trees. As I continued walking, I stepped from an area of tall grass to an area without grass. I guess past the point of detailed render. So my character became stuck. I could look around but unable to move with the axe I am holding. I've seen this happen sometimes when teleporting on a server and i can't move my player (i can face away from the direction my tool is pointing) while the world is loading. However this is standalone. Now I can fly around in F2 but once I switch off F2, I am stuck again. I also do not fall if I am up in the sky.

  • I will add to your bug report another one I encountered when trying to use a blueprint:

    Error occurred during application-update (25)
    java.lang.ClassCastException

Relogged and the issue did not occur again :)

  • Game won't load on Mac

I second that comment. It took an eternity for Steam to show the game up here in Canada, and when it finally showed up, I hit the Play button and while it first showed me a full black screen (with mouse pointer), it then quit back to the desktop within five seconds. I did see the Debugging Console pop up briefly while it loaded, but it was gone by the time the game shut down.

Red: I've included attachments of the crash log that kept being created each time it crashed (all eight are the same), as well as a screen grab of the Debugging Console.

  • So, the problem isn't because I was running macOS 10.12.1 instead of the latest 10.12.2 update. And my system states Java is up to date. But with LTDan and I being Mac users with this problem, I can't help but wonder if there are other Mac users who are in the same boat. Are there any Mac users out there who have been able to run the Dungeons update without a problem?

  • FYI
    Several of these on Win7 x64 i7 GTX 960
RW stand alone on multi server

Thanks a lot for the errorlog! I found out what's wrong with the Mac version, I will fix it as soon as possible :)

splitted horizon after Update? Similar to main menu.... small difference if it's raining...

Hmm.. that's very strange oO Does it also happen with a new world?

Do you still get this issue? Please try to enable full logging, to do that, go to your game directory, open the "config.properties" file with a texteditor and set "game_debug_console" to true. Now start the game, and once this crash occurs, shutdown the game, go to the "Logs" folder (in your game directory) and upload the latest logfile here ;)

Yes (pictures representing a new world - old world looks similar)

Main menu looks like the same, also:

Hmm... it might be a shader issue, what graphics card do you use exactly? Maybe provide a report file, to do that, open console ingame and type "report" (w/o quot. marks), then a file called "report" will appear in your game directory (rightclick on rw in steam -> properties -> local files). Please upload this file (or post the content) here :)

Thanks for the report file! It seems to be a specific related to the Geforce 200 series (another user had the same issue with a Geforce GT 240), we will check out what's going on there and try to find a solution as soon as possible :)
