Even though the pizza discussion tends to be a bit off-topic, but pizza is actually planned
Same for pineapples (they will be part of a tropical region in the future)^^

The problem is that this list gets a bit too long
But I'll see if we can change that.

A hotfix is now available, which fixes a few smaller issues. For this hotfix it's necessary to update multiplayer servers accordingly

- [Bugfix] Fixed pelts and hides not being visible on tanning racks
- [Bugfix] Fixed weather and seasons not being synchronized in multiplayer

- [Bugfix] Fixed some fishes being too difficult to catch
- [Bugfix] Fixed eating certain fishes not having an impact on hunger/thirst

Sorry, saltwater and its eventual possibilities got me excited.

Thanks for the update, I'm excited for try it and fishing some blobfishes XD. I'm impressed for the blobfishes addition, I am thinking even a humpback anglerfish are added, but no jeje.
The new waters, the salty and the fresh... Are different on color or visually?
This adding on the water are awesome for me, the game now are so detailed, in fact.
Three questions :
When we have the ability to place all these items permanently on our worlds? Like to see my self made boxes filled with chillis and corns n_n
About again with the map... We have a satellital map like the Java version soon? I know now it's non priority but I miss that map a lot.
And, when we saw frogs and cocodriles? We need frogs! Lol. Sorry. Thank you again for the hard work.
-
any chance of JUST disabling the thunder storms? I have special eyes and my eyes did not like the lightning.
-
The update's been quite fun and I love the new weathers!
I'd like to report a tiny bug, though. I made an enclosure for some chickens. It's made of blocks. The little chicks keep somehow falling under the blocks and getting stuck. I can retrieve them if I use fly mode and clip through the floor, but still.
Anyways, keep up the good work! It's great!
Edit: I also noticed that the chickens' shadows are uh... stuck. somehow. I have a standing torch in the enclosure and... yeah, there's chicken shadows with no chicken attached.

Thanks for your feedback!

Hehe, actually it was our intention to add an anglerfish, but weren't satisfied with the model we had, so unfortunately it didn't make it into this update
But more fishes will be added over time.

No, right now they're identical... only way to find out the type of water is to look at it - it's then shown in the lower left corner of the screen. You can also try to drink it (which only works for fresh water)

That's definitely still in the works and will be added with one of the next updates

Unfortunately there are still the technical limitations I've mentioned in this post
No chance to implement this without massive performance issues... it looks like this won't change anytime soon...
However, Unity announced a new render pipeline which combines the HDRP and URP. I guess this one won't have the HDRP limitation about rendering the scene from a different position. Unfortunately it will probably take a few years until it's available...
Only thing you can do atm is to use the renderworld console command - this renders the currently loaded world (depending on your view distance) from a top-down view and stores it as a screenshot on your hard drive.
And, when we saw frogs and cocodriles? We need frogs! Lol. Sorry. Thank you again for the hard work.
Crocodiles are planned
When it comes to frogs, well, unfortunately I have no ETA for tiny animals like that yet

There is unfortunately no way to just disable thunder storms... basically you could only change the "Weather Preset" in the "Miscellanous" settings to "Sunny" (this will mostly keep sunny weather). If a thunderstorm sets in, you could also use the weather console command to change the weather (e.g. weather default 1 to switch to sunny weather instantly).
However, since it's mainly about the lightnings, maybe it would be better if we add an option to just disable the light effects? Is it the lightning strike itself, or the flashing light that's problematic?

That's weird oO Do you mind sending a report about that? To do that, look at the enclosure when a chicken gets stuck there, then open the console (key ~ or `) and type "report"

Done~!
Also I love the rainbow eggs, btw. They're so pretty! I hope we can sometime do something fun and colorful with them. Maybe hatch rainbow chickens?

awsome as allways red51

Not only is the lightening a problem the shaking screen is worse!
-
Wow! I've been away from RW for a while and just popped in to see if there was anything new. LOL there is!
I'll have to get back to building my fishing village now, because now we have fishes! But I imagine my bay may be freshwater ...? I guess I will see. Would so much like to be able to put those lovely fish models (and other things) down in the world as props (fish market for starters). I made my own fish and lobsters for that recently, but yours are better! Maybe someday we'll have placeable objects/items.
Very excited to check all this new wonderfulness out.
Thanks, Red!
-
Oh, idk if this is a bug, but chickens are laying eggs while the game is paused! Just confirmed it.
I will have the biggest collection of rainbow eggs, heheheh!
-
I just test drove the update, and that you the fishing is fun. I was also able to pick up two chickens and a hare. They are in my workshop right now so I guess the next task is building a chicken coop and a rabbit hutch. The chickens are content, and laying eggs on the floor. The Rabbit is pretty nervous!
I'm not running around in my undies anymore! Also the lightning storms add some nice atmosphere, too.
Game is running fine for me.
Thank you, Red. Great update.

I have noticed lightning in a clear sky in an arid biome. I'm assuming this is stormy weather in temperate biomes. That can be fixed in a hotfix or than need more work to implement local weather ?

Of course, they are dry storm in the real world, even in summer in my own region in southern Europe. But its not what its pointed here. I have clearly mentioned a clear sky. Dry storm occurs only with a cover one (without rain). Here, it's just an unrealistic occurence of lightning and thunder in a perfect sunny blue sky

Hello Red51. It's a real nice update, thank you. Most nice thing is that we have finally more clothes, no running around anymore in underwear
But i noticed, what i think is a bug. I was inside, door closed, a thunderstorm was going on with heavy rain. Impressive! But my avatar did make sounds and started to shiver indicating i had it cold ? The perceived temperature was 30 degrees. I think when it's a thunderstorm the system doesn't notice that i'm inside ? The behavior was typical for if i was outside in the storm.
Under "Help" i let remind you of an older bug. I call it the 'shelter bug'
