This error should be fixed now, sorry about that, eventually it's necessary to restart the Steam client in order to receive the hotfix

Many thanks, Red51! There's lots of interesting bugs in here though.

I broke your grinder, yet managed to have it working. Also a weird stack icon floating about when you double click from storage to inventory & vice-versa.

Oh nice! You reproduced the error with the grinder. For me, I could only push it from the opposite side of the lever. That caused the wheel to come off the axis. After I re-placed the grinder it worked fine afterwards. It seems like when you place it down, randomly the animation information gets messed up

Red51 found the problem. He replied to my issue on Steam. Basically if you rotate the grinder before placing it, it messes up like that. He's fixing it now.

This issue should be fixed now, I just released a minor hotfix (eventually it's necessary to restart the Steam client to get the update). If this crash still occurs, please let me know

I restarted steam and got the update, but now the entire ground is white.

you can go to the RW directory and delete the cache folder (that fixed the problem for me)

Tried that just now. It didn't work. The ground is missing and/or white. It appears to only be the natural groud that is gone. Any blocks that I have laid down are there and I can see them.

Does it help if you dig a hole maybe? Maybe try to load another world, does the issue still persist?

I tried my personal server that a friend and me play on, the ground is gone on that also. Digging a hole didn't help. The ground is still gone.

i had a similar problem of chunks not loading when I got the first update but it worked after i wiped my cache folder. Too bad that is only working for some.

I tried that . I even looked in my recycle bin to make sure I really deleted it from the game folder.

@Saloben: Did it work prior the hotfix (but after the 0.8.1 update a few hours ago)? Are you running on Linux?

I'm on windows and it worked fine before you said there was a hotfix just above my post. When I saw your post I was in game then and logged out and restarted steam to get the update.

Others are seeing the same things on the server I am on. Serenity. They are discussing it in the chat.

While i'm bugging you about this. Game you fix the problem I am having that I sent you a PM about?

OH Dear. Something just happened. Was playing about an hour ago, then quit and just got back in. All the construction elements have disappeared. the placed model items are still there but construction blocks and beams are invisible. Both in my creative build and in survival. I guess I should just relax and edit video. I'm sure Red can fix it. He's a genius.
